Our Story
The Nutter Family Foundation was founded by Jerry and Renee Nutter in 2008. The nonprofit focuses on the needs of children; believing that when children are allowed to develop their talents, society thrives.
The Foundation’s signature event, Dozer Day® Vancouver, is the main fundraising mechanism for the nonprofit. Excess funds from the event are then distributed throughout the community in the form of grants.
The Foundation is governed by its board of directors, making the final decision on all grants and expenditures made by the Foundation. To foster a spirit of community service, the Foundation prioritizes the grant funding requests of community organizations that bring nonprofit groups to volunteer at Dozer Day® Vancouver.
Since Dozer Day® Vancouver launched, our Blue Vest Dozer Day® Lead Volunteers have been instrumental in building a successful community event. It’s the success of this team that has helped bring Dozer Day® to more communities across the United States.
To date, The Nutter Family Foundation has given back $2.2+ million, a testament to the power of community collaboration.
If our story inspires you, please consider joining the Nutter Family Foundation in giving back by becoming a sponsor and/or volunteer!
